Description
"Butterfly Kisses" by Artist Cole Black
Each painting consists of multiple layers of acrylic paint on paper to create a watercolor effect. The acrylic paint adds a richness not found in most watercolors. I use both watercolor techniques as well as a stippling effect to add a light and unique texture.

RE: art vs photography I had considered photography an art form but Charles makes a good point. So I checked definitions from many sources, and it varies greatly. I would not consider photojournalism, for example, to be fine art but I know a photographer can use a camera as a tool to create some amazing pictures I would display as art. I found this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_photography) which explains that better. Cole what you show here isn't labeled photography so I wouldn't leave FAA because of anyone's views on that subject.

Thank you Charles, your words are a comfort I have debated several times now to remove my work from here because of the judgement I have received but it is people like you and the other wonderful artist here that leave me such nice comments that keeps me here. Thank you again for your support and kind words. :)
